Team
Fortress 2
Team Fortress 2 is a team-based
first-person shooter multiplayer video game that
is developed by Valve
Corporation.
This game has gone through various concepts and
designs. In 1999, the game appeared to be deviating
from its predecessors by pursuing a more realistic
and militaristic style of gameplay, but the design
metamorphosed over its nine-year development period
[into its current form].
The final rendition sports cartoon style visuals
influenced by the art of J. C. Leyendecker, Dean
Cornwell and Norman Rockwell and powered by the
Source engine. The game itself revolves around two
teams, each with access to nine distinct characters,
battling in a variety of game modes set in evil
genius environments.* |

Left
4 Dead
Left 4 Dead is a co-operative first-person
shooter video game that was developed by Turtle
Rock Studios, which was then purchased by the Valve
Corporation part-way into development.
Set during the aftermath of an apocalyptic pandemic,
the game pits its four protagonists — dubbed
the "Survivors" — against hordes
of the Infected, zombie-like aggressive mutants.
There are threee game modes: a single-player mode
in which allied characters are controlled by AI;
a four-player, co-op Campaign mode; as well as an
eight-player Versus mode.
In all modes, an AI, dubbed "The Director",
controls level pacing and item spawns, in an attempt
to create a dynamic experience and increase replay
value.* |
